Most models have plenty of torque (turning force) for driving screws. A torque limiter lets the drive slip once the set torque is reached. It's useful for flush-driving countersunk screws. The final click position locks the drive for drilling.
Most 12-volt models have 10mm keyless chucks, but some have 13mm ones.
Keyless chucks are easier, because there's less fiddling involved.
Check that speed of abrasive wheel is compatible with the machine speed.
he chuck is the grip mechanism that holds the bit firmly. The chuck size limits the size of twist drill the chuck can hold. Most operate without a key these days.
If variable speed is not present, there should be at least two speed settings so you can cope with different jobs, and a reverse setting so you can remove screws.
Hammer or percussoin drills are great for drilling holes into brick work.
